Hello I am hoping to get some information on how to create a copy of our company to use as a blank database for new company's. We have purchased new company's and want to bring them into ACCPAC. Hopefully we can create the new company's based on one of our current company's we already have in place. All setup information would hopefully be available so that we don't have to redo all the setups again. Is there a special way to do this and if so what are the steps. We are using ACCPAC Advantage Series 5.2A for all modules and MS Sequel Server.

I am then assuming that if you use the DBCopy utility that all the current transcations and history will copy as well. If so is there a way to purge those transactions and history out of the new company. Thank you.

In that case, you create a new blank company, set up the module Options the same way, then use the export/import functions for the rest of the data.

I have another question. Do you have setup the database in sequel before setting up a new company. I am hoping a new company be created by using the setup wizard in ACCPAC.

Yes, you have to set it up in SQL first. In regards to the setup wizard, I've never used it, and I've been supporting Accpac since the early 90's.

The setup wizard creates some vanilla companies, you can pick from a few industry examples, you still have to fill in the details.
