Hi I have created a Datebase application in Visual Baisc 6.0. I have used MS-Access database. I have deployed the application therough VB package and deployeement wizard. How can I create a DSN to the MS- access database from installation of application it self. And I create in Single Database interface.. can I convert the same application to Multiple Document Interface.

Check out faq222-273.

How may depend on the setup package that you are using. The PDW setup is a VB project so just add in the code you need in the right spot.

With INNO you can create a VB exe and get INNO to run it silently during installation.

Thanks and Good Luck!

Hi Zemp,
thank you for your answer. what is INNO i didnt understood. I am new to Visual basic, but I am familiar with programming. can you please tell me little bit more detailed. thank you.

INNO is a software package that creates a setup package for you. Just like the Package and Deployment Wizard does. It's free and independant of Microsoft.

You can check it out at
Thanks and Good Luck!

Zemp... hate to get off the subject but i checked out INNO..I like it but do you have to package your app first with PDW?? or can you package the "Project" with INNO? also does INNO do upgrades to the app?
