hello :

i want to create a survey in Word format. i have 2 challenges here.

1. i want to create an radio button like excel one.
how can i do it ? (user restricted to select 1 optiom)
some users suggest to use frame but i was not able to create it successfully. can anymore give me more in details?

2. i want to create a button/icon in the survey form whereby it will capture the survey data in the document and then it will generate an email from the outlook apps. the email also includes To: email address + subject line as well.

cheers
fatchai.

1. Make sure you're "Control Toolbox" is visible (View - Toolbars - Control Toolbox).. and select the "Option Button" - insert however many you need for your application, and format them according to your liking.

2. Button - same as # 1 for inserting. For the code behind it, (after you've inserted the button), right-click on the button, and choose "view code".

From there, you can edit the code to act according to which radio button is selected. I thought there was a control of an "Option Group", but I didn't see that one - I guess that is not available to Word, perhaps - if not, someone else can correct me on that. [smile]

To group the Option Buttons so only one is allowed to be selected, give them the same GroupName. Right click the option button, select Properties, type in a name for GroupName. Do the same for any other option buttons you want to group.

Note: this is for option buttons IN a document, using the Controls toolbar.

Radio buttons on a userform should be placed in a frame. Option buttons inside frames can only have one selected.

I'll throw a pointy on that one. I had no previous knowledge about setting up the radio buttons into groups within Word.
