How to create a banner

I have a .jpg file and Adobe IIIustrator 9.0. How to embeded the .jpg images to a banner, so that my banner will look cool when i publish it at my web. Please advice.

You can 'Place' a JPG into Illustrator from the 'File' menu. Then use save for web to resave the composition as a JPG.

The 'coolness' factor is up to you.
