how to crack dialup password

Can the RemoteManager password be cracked , or is there a way to by pass this and connect to the remote system.

The password can be cracked using "Revelation"

however you do need access to a copy of the CFG file first

once you have a copy of the cfg, open it in manager & use revalation to reveal the password.

If you ave ligitemate access to the system It should not be too difficult to get the cust to email the CFG.

Thanks , but i am already aware of this, sorry if i did not make my question clear.Unfortunately we do not have a config to work from the comms manager made sure of this before he left the company.It would be nice to have another option failing this we will have to default the unit.Its ony a 412 with ims,ccc and using TTS.

Sure the remote dialup password can be bypassed.

Just go to site, access the Manager locally and then change the dialup password to whatever you want.

If I understand the problem correctly, I don't think that's an option for him sizbut. He can't get into the 412, period.

Spanning, hopefully you have some sort of offsite backup of the 412 config? Even if it's just the config as at the completion of the install (perhaps on your laptop)? You could then go to site, default the 412, and then send in the last backup config you have. Then you would only have to reprogram any changes done since the last offsite backup - better than starting from scratch.

Final Answer:

If you dont know the passwords & have not got access to a backup config you are stuffed, default an reprog.

In thius case the previous comms manager could possibly be charged with industrial sabotage (but it would be dificult to make it stick :-( )
