I am using Win2K Pro on a Sony laptop and installed Frontpage 2000. I am just starting to learn FP and I want to start "by example" a web application that uses Access 2000 database access. I found the IIS 5.0 component in Win2k Pro and ran the install. No errors were encountered. Now I want to correctly setup IIS to establish a WEB for my development and testing all on my laptop. Eventually I will be upsizing to SQL Server 2000 for my database backend.
I am a step-by-step person when to comes to learning installs so any and all help will be most appreciated. TIA

In Win2K, you go into Control Panel and open up a folder called "Administrative Tools", then double-click the IIS Manager or Internet Information Server management console, or something like that. When it opens, you should either see a default web, or the computer or something in the left panel. Now, you said IIS 5.0 and I haven't used that much, but it's always been a right-click, "new web", browse to the home directory kind of exercise in the past. It may be under "Actions" or something. I don't have it in front of me. Hope this helps get you started. I can get more detailed, or different, info to you later if you like. John Hoarty
