How to copy whole database from one server to other.

I have a SQL server 2000 database in my computer.I want to copy the database to my office.the two server are in different location and no network connection.I only can copy the database by file.

I try to generate SQL Script and run the script in other server.but I only can get table structure and lost default vaule and other setting. the important thing is I can not copy all the data in the database.I have thousand records in the database now.

Please give me a idea how to transfer a database between servers.

One way is to back up the database, and put it on a CD or another type of media, then restore it on the new server.

Another way is to detach it from the database, put the 2 files on a cd, then re-attach it to the new database

so neither of the servers has a network connection to the internet. the cd will only work till its 580 or so mb. then you will have to switch to dvd for regular till its 4+ gig. then you will have to switch to a double density dvd wich will cover up to 9 gig.

just something to think about for disparate machines.
