How to Copy from local desktop to published desktop?

Is there any way to copy data from an application installed locally(Excel), to an application in a Published Desktop(Excel)? Seems as though I heard or read somewhere that you can do that (copy & Paste), but as far as I can tell it doesn't work...

This works fine normally. Check the Citrix Connection Configuration and make sure that Disable Client Clipboard Mappings is not checked.

Yes as Mike says this has been standard Citrix technology for yonks. Well at least since 1996.
