how to convert printer file back to excel/word file

Hi Folks

I have HP Laser Jet 6P /MP attached to Windows NT Workstation.

I have no problem with printing , my question is about printer file.

instead of printing directly to printer, i am printing to a print file (which is basically a printer code)
and later i can print it by typing &quot;C:>type <filename> >Prn&quot;

fine
Now I want to know if it is possible to convert printer file to some readable format , like txt or xls or doc etc
