How to convert .ppt into .avi

HI, i know this is a long shot and I know it might not suitable for this forum, but does anyone know whether it is possible to change a powerpoint presentation into a movie file? .avi or .mpg? Cuz someone wants to burn it on a DVD to be played on a dvd player.
