I have just started working on the OLAP. I need to convert the Cubes created in MS OLAP Manager into local cubes in the form of (*.cub) form. If some one can guide, I will be greatly thankful.

Yes - it's really anoying that this function isn't immediately available from the OLAP Manager screens - did they think we wouldn't use it?

One way you can do this is to use MS Query. It's a bit of a tired GUI but it has the ability to convert multi-dimensional data into .cub files.

Try running/installing MSQRY32.EXE. Simply define a data source pointing to your cube (using the SQL Server driver) and then open it using MSQuery. You will find you can then save it as a local cube.
