transform dbf to a xls file
transform dbf to a xlsx file

A "grid's contents" is just a normal VFP table, that is, a DBF or a cursor. Ant it's very easy to convert that to Excel.
Just use [tt]COPY TO ... TYPE XL5[/tt]. Or you can ue the Export Wizard. Or you can [tt]COPY TO ... TYPX CSV[/tt], since Excel can read CSVs directly.
