How to convert from Netscape to Notes?

We downloaded the .nsf from Lotus that supposedly allows the import of Netscape address book and other into Notes, without success. Has anyone actually performed this task and, if so, how?

For background, we were using Netscape Communicator 4.5 and trying to import/export into Lotus Notes 5.0.2c.
