Hi,
I'm trying to convert FileMaker Pro's database to MySQL.
Does anyone know how to go about it? Any free converter availble?

Let me just say, I feel your pain. We went through a re-write of a system that was in FileMaker Pro and I found that FileMaker's data types were just crazy and non-standardly named. And the fact that you can imbed a list instead of having it in a seperate table made devining the new tables extremely difficult!

If I remember correctly, there are ways to export to standard file types (tab delim, csv, etc). I'd use these as a go-between stage. The version of FileMaker we used insisted on using the longest field entry to determine the field size when exporting to FoxPro. This made things difficult to plan for.

Good luck!
