How to convert all "Bold" words to "Italic" in an MS Word document?

Hiya,

try: EDIT > REPLACE
Click the MORE button
Click the FORMAT button
Select the FIND WHAT text box and select FORMAT > FONT > BOLD
Select the REPLACE WITH text box and select FORMAT > FONT > ITALIC
Click REPLACE ALL

NB: this'll leave the BOLD swithced on as well. To get rid of the bold:
Select the REPLACE WITH text box and click the NO FORMATTING button
Click REPLACE ALL

HTH

Cheers
Nikki

PS: if there´s a more elegant solution (without resorting to VBA - I´ve got the code ready & working' I´d be well-pleased to know) ;-)

It may not help in your particular situation here but if a style had been used to bold the text it would have been a simple matter. That is one of the v many advantages of not applying formatting directly to document text.
