How to convert a video from DVD to a .FLV file

As far as i know flash(.flv) file is the best to present videos on the web.

I need to convert lecture videos from DVDs to .flv files, can anyone tell me what is the best way to convert, can we do that using flash.

You need a DVD ripper which might now be able to convert directly to .flv, or if not, to a video format that you can then encode as a .flv...
