how to convert a pic to a single-color-print-raster-vector-image??

hi,

can anyone help me? in photoshop there is a filter that is called 'color halftone'. it generates a raster of different sized dots in rather rgb or cmyk color. is there a possibility do get the same result as a vector based file out of illustrator?

any help welcome...

OH I FORGOT! the 'effect>pixelate>color halftone' thing does not work because it is not part of the cs2 bundle anymore!!!
