I have downloaded voicemail messages via FTP using, Filezilla, Classic FTP and Smart FTP client but I can't convert them using Wavepad, Switch Sound Converted, MAX or another one I can't think of right now.

I keep getting the message of an incompatible format. Do I need to rename them or save them as something else? I even tried using a G.711 converter with no luck.

I have a customer that won't allow the phone system to be connected to the data network so no connection to the email server and they don't want to install another one on the voice network but they need a particular voicemail message downloaded and converted for court.

Is there a valid reason why it needs to be converted?

Personally, I would give them the raw data file and tell them how to listen to it. Job done. Especially if it's for a court request, I wouldn't want my name on the 'converted by' tag-line...

If you really must, just use Goldwave.

Good call Irwin

Thanks Sarond I will try that approach as well
