How to control who gets emailed

I have a db of customers that pay their bill on a monthly basis. My distribution list works perfectly when sending out regular reports, but I want to send out a different report to customers that are late. Is there an if function in crystal reports that determines/filters who gets emailed.

How are you distributing these reports, using CE?

For differences in which report is sent, consider having different sections in the current report and suppress the appropriate one based on the late indicator (date?).

Yeah, the whole process is in CE9. I published the report to a users folder, schedule it to run at a specific time and send it to a distribution list.

One idea I had was to break up the distribution list and input the individual email addresses into CE, but that still does not solve who gets an email when a client is late with a payment.

Now I understand that if more than one client is late with a payment then all of those clients would see who else is late, but don't care bout that part yet

You may want to consider using Events. I assume that the functionality is still in CE9 (we use Seagate Info 7 but are upgrading). For example, I have a query that runs in Info SQL Designer and completes successfully if a certain criteria is met (for your example, the late indicator). If there are no records that meet the criteria then I use the raiserror function and this causes the query to fail. Then I create a report that will run based on the successful event. Your report runs if the runs successfully and returns entries. I want my report to run on an event too, but my main objective right now is to email only those people returned in the query.

Basically I need a filter or query for my "destination" in CE.
