How to control a checkmark on menu from a prg or form

Hi.
I do have a menu with options acting as toggleswitch.
E.g. 'confirm changes'.

I did kind of 'bound' that menu-option to a _screen.property.

Once I start my application I get former-used values from an ini-file. Than I transfer that value to my _screen.property. But how can I inform my 'menu-toggle' about the actual status?

Reading the help-file anmd implementing it the right way in my code solved my problem using : Set Mark Of Command.
