How to connect to ANY Oracle remote DB from VB RDC

Hi,

I may be having a problem with ODBC.
I try to connect to Oracle RDBMS 817 via
VB Report.Database.LogOnServer call indicating
specific DSN (System or User, no matter).
And the connection is only established when
I explicitly specify Server Name in ODBC
Oracle Driver Setup (CR Oracle 8 driver)

When i leave that field blank, I receive a memory hit
run-time error.

I'm using CR7

Any ideas?
