I want to connect to Novell 3.12 server from a computer having harddsik formated in win9x and only win9x Dos part is availabel. This is a specific program requirment.

I am able to run ipx.com nicely. Ipx gets loaded properly. but when I run netx32.exe it says incorrect dos version.

Hello,

I know of two things to change this, use the setver command, or to debug the netx32.exe and take out the dos-check. Using setver should work however, I do not have novell running so I can't check this. Wouter Dijkslag

well i will checkout with setver.
I am not much sure about "debugging" netx32.exe. can u put more light on it regarding how to do it ?

Hi,

Debugging is the process of removing bugs from a program. This can be when you have the source, or if you lost it, by patching the program. A version check normally very simple, and easily patched out.
However, this requires knowledge of assembly language, and how to use a debugger.
Then it becomes simply following the flow of the program untill the version check, and changing the instruction that tests it, or jump around the version-check.
