I have 3 differnet buildings that each have their own LAN and servers. What hardware do I need to get to be able to connect the 3 buildings together? Each building has multiple hubs that are connected together and all 3 buildings are about 500 yards apart and speed is somewhat of an issue. Is fiber optic the option that I would want to go with. I know this is kinda vague, but I need some help getting pointed in the right direction.

Thanks,
Michael

If you have line of sight you might try WAP54G in PtP mode. It is capable of 13 Mb/s duplex. Some cheap outdoor directional antennas will do the job with 500 yards.

If you want security, you can install BEFVP41 VPN-routers each end to protect your wireless bridging.

If you looking at saving money and getting this done as cheap as possible. I would definitely go with the BEFVP41 in each location. You said you have a sepperate Internet connection in each location with at least a server in each location. Then setup VPN tunnels between all of them. Worst case scenario you may have to setup static overlapping routes on your servers, but most likely not.

Hope that Helps,

Erik
