How to connect database to mt server

Hi

I'm new to database and sql. I have just managed to setup a database connection from dreamweaver mx to my server. However, I don't know how to upload and retreive data to and from my database to the server. My server's control panel displayed that a "Run SQL query/queries on database...". Can somebody tell me teach me what's that mean and how to make it work? Or any tutorials regarding this pls let me know.

Look into DSN and DSNless connections. I personally prefer DSNless but its your choice.
