We are trying to share an internet connection between 3 machines, 1 Win98 PC and 2 Apple PC's. We have an Apple Airport. The 2 Mac's are connecting to the internet via wireless to the Airport's modem and work fine. On the PC, I connected a crossover cable from the PC's NIC to the Airport's single ethernet connection. There is link activity. Now the PC needs to be configured in Windows networking. I understand the airport needs to be configured manually to do this. Any suggestions as Apple does not offer support for PC's?

As far as I can tell you only need to configure the Airport to connect to the Internet automatically. Set up the Win98 machine to get its IP address automatically (you may need to add the TCP/IP protocol in the Network control panel) and it should be able to share the IP connection fine. I would expect that our instructions for setting up a Windows 95 box in the ISU Residence Halls (at
) will probably work fine. Don't expect to share files with the Macs, though -- Windows doesn't believe in AppleShare (unless you install Maclan Connect) and Macs don't believe in NetBEUI (unless you install DAVE).
