Guys,

I have a windows 2000 server machine that I would like to configure to run a script on receiving a trap.
I want to do this because I have a Linux machine that will transfer files to a windows machine for processing but I need a fast response and I dont want the windows machine to be polling like mad.
Hopefully this should be a simple task but I know very little about windows. Any help / suggestions / urls would be very much appreciated.

BTW: If anyone has any better / simpler way of triggering a script on a windows machine then I would be very happy to consider that also.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I am using Linux to send the traps so that is not a problem.
I can't install anything on the windoze machine though so I was just simply asking how I can get a standard windoze setup to do "something" with the trap that I send.
Once I can get it to do something then I can look at what languages I have available and how to get the result I need.

Thanks for taking the time to post though, your efforts are appreciated.
