I have got 2 Unix server both linked through TCP/IP. I would like to have uucp installed so that i can automate data files and users files to be copied everyday at night ( e.g. 23:00 ) from one server to another. Data Files are present in /u/peg folder and users files are present in /usr/salim, /usr/nadia , /usr/albert, etc, etc.

Both Unix server are identical, the only difference is that one have got users and the other acts like a redundant server in case the first one gets broken down, then i start the second one.

Can anyone help please.
Thank you
Salim

As far as configuring, as root you invoke "uuinstall".

Any reason why you would want to use uucp instead of rdist, ftp or rcp to replicate?

Just curious...
