Hello everydoby.

I'd like to deploy five hundred phones created with BULK and then use TAPS to register phones by final users.

I know make the BAT file but I don't know how to configure TAPS in CUCM 8.5

I'm following this Cisco document but I have several doubts.

- My doubts are:

Installing TAPS
The following prerequisites apply to TAPS installation for BAT:

Ensure the Cisco UCCX server is configured

Is it compulsory has a UCCX server?

Activating TAPS Service
You can activate and deactivate TAPS service by using Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Serviceability after you access it by using the appropriate URL. Use the following procedure to activate
the service.
Procedure
Step 1 Access Cisco Unified Communications Manager Serviceability.
Step 2 Choose Tools > Service Activation.

Shall I activate TAPS service on publisher or in suscriber?. I have already running TAPS service in publisher but no in suscriber.

Configuring Auto-Registration Options for TAPS
Step 1 In the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration window, choose System > Service
Parameters. The Service Parameter Configuration window displays.
Step 2 From the Server drop-down list, choose the appropriate server.

What server?, publisher or suscriber?

Another doubt:

I have a CUCM cluster with two servers: one publisher and a suscriber one. Where should I enable autoregister?, publisher, suscriber or in the whole cluster?.

The whole phones are in registered in the suscriber.

Can anybody help me?.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you need a uccx server to run taps for version 8.5.

Didn't see the rest of your questions. Doesn't really matter where you enable the services at, as long as you point your autoregister phones to that server.
You can use the pub or one of the subs.

Thank you for you reply whykap.

I don't have UCCX server, so the rest of the questions don't matter.

Do you say that I need UCCX server for your work experience?.

Being sincere it sounds me very strange

I don't understand your above question, but in case I didn't make myself clear:
If you want to use TAPS, you need to deploy UCCX server as taps is an application that runs on uccx.
That changes in version 10, so you can upgrade to avoid the above and use auto provisioning that is native in version 10.

You don't understand my english or what you don't understand.
