I have a problem to use TAPI with Outlook , i don't have the choise to select TAPI application when i want make a call with outlook , i just have h323 line ....
1. make sure your phone is programmed with AST and IAPG
2. make sure your phone/TN is configured in TAPI
3. your domian user is registred for your TN in TAPI
4. tcmsetup has been activated on your PC (tcmsetup /c <tapiserver>)
5. Outlook is set up correctly.
Outlook 2000:
In Actions -> Call Contact -> New Call -> Dialing Options -> Connect using line: Try to click the up/down arrow. Only to lines are displayed at the same time and you need to use up/down to find your line/TN
It's ok for the point 1,2,3 and 4
But i don't know how to set up correctly outlook and when i click the up/down arrow i just have two choices: h323 line and I2050 phone.
I think i should make something to have this line/TN option but i don't know what....
If you use TAPI on a Win2K3 server there was a problem with the security level between the 2k3 servers and the windows 2000 clients so the clients couldn't get the appropriate connection with the server. If you don't have the right connection everything will seem fine but you can't get the right "dialup" line on the client. Microsoft has released a hotfix for this. Unfortenately I don't remember which it was, but at the time they had released the hotfix but you had to phone microsoft and make them mail you the fixes. If you search microsofts knowlegde database you should find this fix, and if it's not released try to get it by phoning them.
