Using NetWorker v6.0.1 Power Edition license running on HP-UX11.X

In my environment I have set-up 2 jukeboxes as remote devices but I also have an external DLT attached to one of my node.
Is it possible to configure a standalone DLT as a Storage Node ?
What would be the procedure ?

Thank you.

A storage node is a server with a device/devices/autochanger on it APART from the Networker Server.
If the drive is on the Networker Server, jsut add the device .

Actually a storage node is a subset of a server. It has no index information stored on it.

to configure stand alone devices on a system create the device in the nwadmin screen

rd=hostname:/dev/rmt/Xcbn for Unix type devices

rd=hostname:\\.\tape1 for NT type devices

the hostname is the system that actually has the device attached.

Yes, it is a sub-component (server consists of server, s/n and client). It is still the case that if you see the device locally on the server, you can just add it as a device.
