In the below screenshot, you can see the director's extension or phone can open lines from different branches. I tried to replicate a similar setup for another user whose extension belongs to the upper set of trunk lines.

She has a 6-button phone. So I replaced trunk # 6 with # 7 for her 6th button, but the button didn't work any more. I tried trunk # 31 on button # 5, but it didn't work either.

It looks like there is another area to pre-do before doing 15-07. Do you know what it is?

Are you using ring groups for incoming calls? 22-04/22-05/22-02 (normal), or DID routing 22-11?
Possibly not in the same ring group as other phones.

Yes. But neither of the 2 extensions I'm referring to belong to any ring group.

However, you opened my eyes to something. In 15-06, the modes of the director's extension are 13, while in 22-05, there is no 13!

Can that lead to the answer?

15-06 is a trunk access map,used to determine what trunk map is available to each extension.

So if you see an extension with 13 filling in all the modes in 15-06, how do you find out what this 13 mean?

14-07 defines what kind of calls can be made by that extension.
These are your options. Look up trunk access map 13 to see what has been set.
0 = No access
1 = Outgoing access only
2 = Incoming access only
3 = Access only when trunk on Hold
4 = Outgoing access and access when trunk on Hold
5 = Incoming access and access when trunk on Hold
6 = Incoming and Outgoing access
7 = Incoming access, outgoing access and access when trunk
on Hold

Check 14-07 for map access and 15-06 if he's using the right map that has access to all the said trunk.
