Hi All,

I have just configured successfully active-passive cluster (By default when creating 2 Node MSCS) in my Windows Server 2008 R2 which is currently hosting my custom web application, I also have tried to telnet into the port using MSCS FQDN and it works as well as each respective node name with the same port both successfully working.

However In order to create active-active nodes for my custom web application, I will need to configure a NLB, so I wonder if anyone here can guide me in the best practice to setup and implement NLB for active-active MSCS cluster on VMware ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Microsoft Cluster Service doesn't support a single resource group being Active/Active. You need to use Network Load Balancer (NLB) to spread the load between the two servers.

yes, that's correct mate, so now it is working with Multicast NLB cluster.

Cheers !
