How to configure Barcode system in Micros 3700 3.2 version

I want to know how to develop the barcode system on Micros 3700 3.2 version. I have done the following on Pos Configurator:

1. System - Restaurant - NLU Groups Tab - Barcode NLU option -> I put the number 1 (NLU Group Number 1)
2. In Sales - Menu Items -> My menu items that i want they be associated with a code bar, i put the same NLU Group Name that i have in [System - Restaurant - NLU Groups Tab - Barcode NLU option]
3. In Sales - Barcodes -> I added the menu items that i have associed with Barcodes
4.- In Devices - User Workstatiions - Peripherals Tab -> I added an record with Peripheral Type = Scanner, Connection type = Integrated. Just this. I have no configured anything in the Table View Tab.
5.- I connected the scanner in my workstation in the usb port.
But when i read the code bar of my product, nothing happens in the Micros workstation, just the number of the barcode it shows at the top of the monitor for less than 1 second, but does not show the product like i was selling it.

Do i need to do something else ?

Any type of help would be appreciated.

The scanner is not integrated, it is on a USB port. I would get a USB to serial converter cable and make the setup on a serial port.
