How to Compress

Running Brighstore Arcserve Backup 11.1 on Windows 2003 connected to a DLT1 VS80 Tape Drive (40/80gb). How do I turn on compression so that the tape will hold 80gigs of data? It's currently backing up 35gigs and the tape drive shows that compression is already on but I know this is not the case because total size disk = total size media.

I cannot find Media Remaining Capacity on the activity log either. I want to have on idea on how much more data the tape can handle.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
