Hi, there

Need your help again...Thanks in advance.
I have two flash movies in one html file. How can do communicate between two?
First, I press the button in movie 1, and then movie 2 begins to play. Then, when movie 2 ends, there is a message in movie 1.
Anyone knows how to do that? I understand it's much easier to make it in one flash file..but the requirement is like this..

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I forgot to mention that "load connection" is also not allowed in this project..sorry..Is there any other way to do that??

Thank you!

You could communicate by XML sockets via the server. Typically this is the way Flash movies communicate on different PCs in a multi-user role. Not sure about configuring it one one machine due to port and IP conflict issues...

Or you could try using javascript in the head of the HTML page. Flash can send to Javascript functions through fscommand and receive through flash/javascript 'methods' (macromedia.com has the full list). So potentially one movie could talk to another that way. Never tried it but it might work...

Thank you very much. I will keep trying...

An example of javascript communication (between 2 movies and even from the html itself) and Flash methods:

Basically everything you need to know is the html.

As for Flash methods, here's the link:
