I have alot of Macs that store there home directories on a Win2k server. If a user leaves a file open from the server and restarts there machine, or if it crash it can no longer access there home directory. Article 12061 in Microsoft knowledge base.

It believes the connection is still there. How can I drop there connection without rebooting the server???

Go to you administrator tools then computer management then under shared folders there is one called sessions. See if they are still located in there. If so you can disconnect them there. Hope that is what you need.
