I have a couple allocation errors in SBT Vision Point 10.0.
I have done this before, about 10 years ago. I think I go into vpdot and open the database to change the bad data in the allocations, but can't figure out how to open the database. I thought the command was DO, but gives me a syntax error. I typed open arinvt01.dbf

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks

use arinvt01 is your basic command. But you will need to know the fields to do what you want.

hi compblue,

The command "DO" in foxpro is used to run a program(.prg, .fxp or screen). Syntax of the database container file is "OPEN" but for database(.dbf), is the verb "USE". Example:

In command window, type "use t:\sbtdata\pro50\ardata\arinvt01" then <enter>

Wait... do you mean to direct edit certain field in your database "arinvt01.dbf"? If so, you have a lot of other related databases to consider to synchronize information of your databases....

Fix this problem through the SBT VisionPoint user interface, not through Foxpro or the SBT dot prompt (which is Foxpro for those who do not have a Foxpro 6.0 license).

Do the following: 1) Get everyone out of SBT. 2) Go into the System Manager module. 3) Clear Multiuser flags (System -> Clear Multiuser Flags). 4) Recalculate File Balances (Transactions -> Recalculate File Balances).

The last step is the one that corrects incorrect sales order allocations in your inventory.
