I have a customer whose Exchange server has a spam handler, drops mail into a Spam folder under the Inbox folder. I want to be able to automatically delete from this folder items older than 2 weeks, no user intervention, but I do NOT want any default autoarchive action.
I have set autoarchive to run every day, with both default actions unchecked. I set the Spam folder to delete items older than 2 weeks, but nothing happens. I'm told it's because there is no default archive action, that I need to set an action, and for folders that I don't want archived select "Do not archive." Well, I want "Do not archive" to be the default, so that as users create new folders they behave correctly.
Summarizing, all I want to do is delete (not archive) items from this folder that are over a week old. I want NO OTHER ACTION, and I don't want to have to override a default to do that. Is this even possible?
