Hi,all
After using pfsd for mounting cdrom, how can I clean up the
daemons like 'pfsd' and 'pfs_mountd'?
Can I just kill the daemons? or is there any other command?
TIA

You can just kill them but never do so when a CD is mounted or you will receive NFS server not responding messages and the only way to stop them is with a reboot.
I can not really think of a reason why you really need to kill them, they will be killed at next reboot anyway and may even be started again by your machine's startup scripts.

Thanks unixqueen.
Actually, I want to remove all 'rpc' related daemons for the
security issues. and pfsd has some with RPC.
As you said pfsd will be cleared after reboot, but it is a production server , so i can't.
that's why i want to kill pfsd.
