How to clean up or stop bounced messages?

Had a user send something way too large and it is bouncing. Is there an easy way to stop qmail from continuously trying to send this? Also, is there harm in cleaning up the large bounces?

start with
qmailctl queue
to view the queue

Use this utility:

which safely removes from a live queue by pattern matching

I know there are documented ways to remove from a queue manually, but they are more difficult than using qmail-remove. I also use qmail-remove periodically to purge bounces from spam haus.
