Would a main power line into a building create too much noise for an MDF or IDF?

If a room was 120m by 112m - how many MDF's, IDF's do you think would be needed?

Is a room that is 73 square metres too small to act as a MDF and is a room that is 55 square metres too small to act as MDF (but has the telephone, POP line)?

All responses much appreciated - Thanks

I would say:

#1, Depends on the equipment being located in it, Normally I would say you do not want switch equipment located in the same room with transformer equipment.

for #2, the real question is not is it too small or too large, in that the room can be any size as long as it's big enough for the equipment you want to house in it. the Real question is does it have enough airflow so it doesn't get 400deg in there and fry your equipment, the smaller the room, the faster it will get hot without ample airflow.

as an example, we have IDF's that are just large enough for the equipment rack and a skinny person to slip behind it. then we have a MDF that has plenty of room.
