How to checkout tapes to free up slots in TSM tape Library

Hi,

I have a TSM server running version 5.5.4.0 on Windows 2008.

TSM has reported "ANS1329S Server out of data storage space"

I have checked storage pools with "q stgp" command and I can see the primary disk storage pool is 100% full.

I realise TSM needs to migrate data from the primary disk storage pool to the offsite scratch tapes to free up some space in the primary disk storage pool

I have checked in 3 scratch tapes to but I cannot "checkin" any more scratch tapes because there are no free slots
available in the TSM library TS3310.

How do I find out which tapes I need to "check out" for offsite storage to free up slots in the tape TSM library?

Hi there do you still need help?
How many slots do you have in your library? Do you have a COPYPOOL? Do you use DRM?

I don't know your environment, but you can move data between tapes in order to get some scratch volumes, or you can checkout some TAPEPOOL volumes temporarily.
