Hi
I am using Win2000, and my admin person, who I believe is just curious and keeps logging into my computer to see what I doing on my screen. (Remind, there is a software allow us to remote log in user's computer to monitor what the user doing for troubleshooting purpose). I don't know how to check out whether I am monitored by him, but I sometimes can see my mouse pointer is auto dragged/run to another location while I don't use the mouse and reading email.

Usually, there is an icon to indicate the software above running on my terminal by looking at the icons on the bottom right corner, but I don't see it any more only the mouse pointer acting strange. I don't know if he can ran without showing the icon on mine?

Thanks

i can tell you one simple thing . try this command to check out the active connections on your computer.

try this command

netstat

This will show you the active connections to your PC.

see

netstat /?

Hope this will do. Aslam

There are all types of monitoring software out there. As an admin I can do just about anything to a users computer without them knowing. Your best defense is not do anything on your work computer that is outside of the users policy you signed at work. As long as you stay in the guidelines of that policy you can tell him to pound sand. If you are having a problem that could border on harassment you can talk to your supervisor.

You could make a bat file and put it on your desktop called anyone watching.bat
And in it you can have the commands

netstat | findstr ESTABLISHED | more

Click on it when you want to check this.

You should be able to recognize other workstations

Here they also disable the "sound" so you can't hear them "ding" in as they attach to your workstation. But the performance degredation and mouse movement problem is usually a giveaway.

We use Citrix Shadowing tool, and there is no way the users can know they are being watched appart from a slight cursor flicker which knowbody notices really - never use it though!

Thanks all,

I think the command is similar to UNIX (dump me !).
