How to check the sendmail version

can someone let me know how to check the sendmail version. I am a bit new to this.

Hi,

"telnet localhost 25" should display sendmail version by default. Or check the sendmail package installed. What OS r u running on?

How to stop sending undelivered mails to the sender. I am running sendmail version 8.9.3 on AIX 4.3.3
