How to check the disk spcae df -k by shell script.

Hi,

Can anyone give me some leads on how to check the disk space df -k for a particular file system e.g /xyz from shell script.I want to write a script to check the disk space for /xyz which gets filled by the logs files very often.

Any help on this will be highly appreciated.
