SQL server 2000, how do I check # of Cals I have?

On the SQL Server, in the control pannel there is a SQL Licensing (or something to that effect) control pannel. It will tell you what you told the SQL Server.

If you need to figure out if you are in compliance you can use this faq962-5480.

It set to 100, now, how do I know if they are real or not. Because I can change that number to anything I want.

Check with whomever does your purchasing. They should have a record of how many licenses were bought. If that fails, contact Microsoft....they should be very glad to help you figure out how many licenses you've bought.

Yep, it's paper audit time.
