Hi All,

sorry got situation where my digital expansion hardware fault, & i'm wondering how i can make sure if the ethernet cu is working when i dont have any spare hardware digital expansion for test ? Tried to ask local partner they also dont have spare & i'd like to verify it before order the new digital expansion.

I dont know if this method can be used or not, plug the straight cable to port ethernet CU and the other with cable tester (done: straight cable on), or plug into switch for test if it will on on the switch port or not (not yet to try though)
Sorry for my stupid thoughts above & hope you can give any advices.

Many thanks

Just becasue it looks like an ethernet port doesn't mean its an ethernet port! The signal is much closer to that used for digital PRI trunk connections, but with some extras since they need to push things across like firmware upgrades.

As always said, only us the cables provided by Avaya. Meanwhile, look in System Status and see what it says. It should be reporting alarms about the status of the connection if there is an issue.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
