We have a customer who is porting his numbers to another carrier on a PRI he has an existing BCM-50 running on NI2.
The new PRI was ordered NI1. What am i going to need to do to get the BCM-50 up and running on the new PRI ?

Nothing, leave your settings just as they are. My understanding, maybe some CO techs will correct me, is that the only real difference between NI1 and NI2 is no CLID name display. you get #, but not name.

My first sentence is correct, but the rest is debateable.

There are some other differences between the two, but I don't recall what they are right now. I do recall several years ago fighting PRI issues with a BCM, and eventually found that the CO provisioned it as NI1, not NI2. They would drop calls, get busys inbound, d-channel would bounce like a rubber ball and all sorts of other strange things happened. It wasn't until the CO tech said the pipe was provisioned as NI-1 that we got the issue resolved. This was back in the release 2.5 days. If they can't do NI2, you'd be better off trying DMS100 custom, or something the BCM explicitly supports.

I appreciate biv's knowledge, but I think you'll be okay.

First step is to see if NI2 is available, and that will end that.
