Our netbackup master server is installed on oracle linux system where in the release used is
RHEL Server release 5.7 (Tikanga)
I would like to change the root password for this.
How can I drive this.
Also to login to the Netbackup Java console we select the master server and use the root credentials
Is it possible to have a different user with same access rights /privileges as that of root and use that for login.

If I'm changing the root password will this have any direct affect on the backup jobs.
Would there be any dependency on this.
Oracle jobs are called via a RMAN script but the job initiates with a root account, so will this be affected.

Thanks a lot in advance for the help.
