HI to all,

My friend help me to set up a Win2k Server with Active Directory and somehow he help me to use "shut" for the Administrator password.
because all the machines use "32456" for the password, of course, I want to change the password. However, the option to change the password had been grayed out, what change I do, inorder to change the login password to "32456" for Administrator.

Please advise.

You must go to Control Panel, Click on Users and Passwords and at the bottom of Users and Passwords is the Set Password
box. Click it and change your password.

On most W2k machines, you need to go to Start\Programs\Administrative Tools\Computer Management and edit users under the Local Users and Groups folder by double-clicking the relevant user.

I hope this helps

Under Win2K ALL you have to really do is ctrl-alt-del and use the change password option. This works on both Win2K Pro AND Server. We use both and the option AND ability is there.
